RULES & CONTRACT
CLIENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE CLEAN AND SOBER FROM ANY MOOD-ALTERING SUBSTANCE.
Medications prescribed by a physician will be revised upon admission and residents are required to keep their medications in the lockers provided and take all their medications as prescribed.
If you test positive for any mood-altering substance (except for those medications prescribed by your physicians and approved by CRRA upon intake), you will be asked to leave the property immediately and a referral will be made to a detox facility or appropriate level of care.
Structure
STARTLIVING Life is based upon the AA/NA way of life. In addition to following all the house rules, residents are encouraged to work a program of recovery.
This Includes:

Staying clean and living a sober way of life.

Attending 12 step meetings (AA, NA, CA, OA, ACA, Al-annon, etc) at least 5 times weekly. You can also count church attendance and SMART recovery as a meeting.

Working with a 12-step sponsor

Developing a support group
-
Daily prayer and meditation
-
Living the principles behind the steps

Taking all psychotropic medications as prescribed
STARTLIVING LIFE HOUSE RULES

No use of alcohol, drugs or any mood-altering substances (including the use of supplements, steroids, energy drinks and mouth wash containing alcohol). Use and/or possession thereof, including paraphernalia, will result in the immediate termination of your lease. The only exceptions are medications taken under the care and direction of your recovery physician. (Prior notification is required, including any changes.)

No use of over-the-counter items such as mouthwash with alcohol, vanilla extract, inhalants, diet pills or other stimulants, sleeping aids or other depressants (check with management with any questionable items)

No visits are allowed in the home. Only exception is your sponsor to work the steps.

No weapons, explosives, fireworks are allowed at any time.

It is NOT ALLOWED for you to go to Kava Bars, or use any synthetic products as: KAVA, FLAKKA, BATH SALTS, KRATUM, and WHIPPETS OR ANY OTHER FORM OF MOOD-ALTERING SUBSTANCES. The use of any use of these products will result in immediate discharge from this home.

Gambling in any form is not permitted. This includes poker, lotto and the loan of money or car to another resident.

Profane or indecent language is not permitted.

Smoking is permitted in the outside areas and patio. Never smoke and/or use any tobacco products (including smokeless tobacco, vapes or dip) in the house. Please be considerate of others and smoke only in permitted areas. No open flames in the house at any time. (Please no candles and/or incense).

No physical confrontation or acting out - no yelling - no verbal or physical threats.

NO STEALING OR BORROWING FROM OTHER HOUSEMATES: VEHICLES, FOOD, CLOTHES, SOAP SHAMPOO OR ANY OTHER ITEMS. THIS IS GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION.

Only the staff and residents are allowed on the premises. Sponsors are allowed, with permission of the house manager until 8:00 pm.

All activities should be quieted by midnight with respect to other residents. Hours should be reasonable and conducive to recovery.

CURFEWS: 1st-week curfew is at 9:00 p.m., 2nd-week curfew is at 10:00 p.m., 3rd week and after Sunday through Thursday 11:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 12:00 p.m. after 3rd week.

Do NOT leave Palm Beach County, at any time, without a pass or notification.

ABSOLUTELY NO OVERNIGHT GUESTS OR SEXUAL ACTIVITIES ON THE PREMISES. NO GUEST PERMITTED ON PROPERTY.

If the resident has a vehicle they are not allowed to lend the vehicle to other residents.

All residents are encouraged to work a diligent program of recovery.

Each resident is responsible for their own personal cleanliness and laundry, as well as the general cleanliness of their apartment as assigned in the weekly community meetings.

All residents should be employed (within two weeks) on a full-time basis, unless you are in treatment, on disability, in school, or volunteering your time.

All residents should attend the weekly community meetings: Date and time will be determined by CRRA.

When leaving the house: all ceiling fans, lights, televisions, and radios are to be turned off. Lock all doors and windows. Your personal belongings are NOT covered by insurance.

Be considerate with the neighbors and your fellow residents. The volume of television, music and your voices always need to be considered but especially during early morning hours and after 9:00 pm.

Keep the house clean and orderly. Make your bed as soon as you get up and keep your clothes, shoes, toiletries and other belongings organized. Clean up after yourself. Wash your dishes immediately in order to prevent roaches and other insect problems. Place garbage bags in the garbage containers outside. Trash pick-up is every Monday and Thursday.

No flushing tampons or cigarette butts down the toilet. No cooking oils, grease, bleach or other solvents down the drains.

RENT IS PAID IN ADVANCE ON A WEEKLY OR MONTHLY BASIS STARTING THE DAY YOU ARE ADMITTED. IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID YOUR RENT WITHIN 3 DAYS OF DUE DATE, THIS IS GROUNDS FOR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION OF YOUR LEASE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO LEAVE. CRRA WILL ASSIST WITH TRANSFER.

RATES, FEES & SERVICES
Our commitment is 3 months; however, individuals are welcome to stay as long as necessary.
Each resident must complete intake, screening, assessment, and orientation before entering the home.
We encourage you to apply for food stamps, and we will assist you in obtaining bus passes if necessary. The administration fee is nonrefundable and is used to cover all our additional expenses.

Nonrefundable Administration fee $300. (This fee can hold an available bed and it is non-refundable if the resident does not get admitted)
STARTLIVING Life Transitional Living, supplies laundry facilities, Wi-Fi internet, Comcast, and all bedding, paper products and cleaning supplies.
